At the turn of the century in 1900, nobody knew what a Britax Marathon car seat was because there was no such thing.  Back in the 50′s when cars muscle cars hit the market, the law stated that you could stuff as many people in a car that would fit.   There were no child safety restraints.  I remember riding in the bed of an open pick truck with dozen neighborhood kids. Seat belts were not used. Parents would stuff their family wagons, pickups, and sedans with all the neighborhood kids and head off to the local Dairy Queen. Wow have things really changed!
