I talked with Big Ben the newspaper guy at the Castro Valley BART station.   He was all smiles again.  He says that every morning when he wakes up at 4 AM he is excited to see his friends at the BART station.  Hear that again-his friends!  They are not customers or clients, they are his friends.  Selling newspapers is just a side line for the hours each day that he sits behind his silver newspaper booth.  His job is to make  people happy.  “A  smile doesn’t cost anything” says Big Ben.

He sure had me smiling!  He sees thousands of people every day going to and from work.  How many of us wish we had that kind of viewing on our personal blogs?

I plan on picking Big Ben’s brain for free marketing tips.  He is the king of social media at the Castro Valley BART station.
