Best Christmas Shopping Tips

By Mark Keeler

christmas2009tipsAre you shocked that Christmas is almost here?  Is all your Christmas Shopping completed?  If this were the case, then you would not be reading articles on Christmas shopping.  I want get rid of most if not all of your Christmas shopping anxieties.    Giving gifts should be fun and exciting.  All your shopping could be completed in a lazy afternoon without leaving your house.  How is this really possible?    Read on.

It’s no mystery that shopping online will not only save you time and money.    Online Shopping is going to save you the stress that usually accompanies Christmas shopping.

Before you hop online with an aggressive shopping plan, take a few steps to ensure that you don’t break the bank with impulsive buying.

Amazon is my favorite shopping place.  It’s not because Amazon has the best looking site.  It’s because Amazon has partnered with so many top rated companies like Buy.com and will often offer you better deals than you can get on the retailers home site!  Amazon has low over head.  They deal in huge volumes of merchandise like Walmart and Costco.  The best kept secret about Amazon is that most products will be shipped to you for free and no sales tax (some restrictions apply!

Amazon uses a one cart shopping system.  You can make purchases from thousands of partners and still pay only once.  The majority of orders over are eligible for free Super Saver Shipping.  Amazon will even sweeten the pot for you and give you a credit card pre-loaded with 30 bucks!  Thirty dollars more to spend.  Cancel the card if you don’t want it and keep the cash!

If it’s sold, Amazon has it.  And I do mean everything.  Of course it’s gotta be legal.  But you know what I mean.  If it’s available at your local department store, then Amazon sells it.

Disorganized or organized shopper?  Don’t worry because you are going to look like a rock star whether your organized or not.   Even if you are not organized, stick to your budget.  If it’s a 200 bucks, stick with that plan!  Nothing hurts worse than paying off your Christmas shopping in July!

Even though I have talked up Amazon, you may be thinking that is the only place to shop.  No way.  Find online coupons by using Google.  Many times they are loss leaders and you can score some killer deals.  Place your order only if they offer free shipping and no sales tax.  The tax alone will kill you.  I bet that even our state congressional leaders shop online to avoid sales tax…shh!!!
