Go right into Google Webmaster Tools. Add a new site. Copy the meta code that Google generates for you. Go into your Wordpress dashboard and click on appearance/editor/header.php. Open up the header and drop the code in right here:

Wii Console Gaming System
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s Christmas and I am really thinking about getting a Wii. I have not really been an advocate of any video gaming system since most of the time it’s a brain drain. With the Wii system I am thinking a little different. What changed? A little over a year ago a friend of mine who works for Google took me into the game area in his office. It’s no secret that Google offers a lot of toys for their hard working employees to keep them happy.
What I witnessed was the most tricked out gaming system in the world. You can actually get a work out playing with this thing! The Wii system has really brought the video gaming industry up to the next level and beyond. I sure hope that my wife does not read this write up. Gotta keep my kids away from reading this too. If I get the Wii for me, I am going to have to lock it up. It’s kind like how my parents hid the booze when I was growing up.

Fall Sun Rise Run With Mountain Lions

I always look forward to the season changes for my trail runs. Last night it was near full moon and I was anxious to run in the dark with on a moon lit trail. I hit the running trail at 540 AM on a starry morning with a flash light in hand. The moon was making it final descent to the unseen horizon. I kept on looking for the moon while running for a full 45 minutes and it was not in view. It must have been blocked by the mountains.
It was a chilly 50 or so degrees and all I was wearing was a thin running shirt and shorts. No gloves. It was little chilly heading up the mountain. My arms were glowing a bright red from the cold. My finger tips were a little numb.
Since I was running solo, I started hearing and seeing mountain lions stalking me in the woods. I just knew that I was going to get eaten alive. I made all kinds of plans of escape. Climbing a tall tree seemed my best plan of defense. It’s a good thing that the mountain lions did not see me.
The glorious sun rise saved me from getting eaten alive.
Mission Peak had a half dozen people congregating on top enjoying the colorful fall sunrise.
Last week, I purchased a pair of Vasque Blur trail running shoes. What a difference a real trail running shoe makes. The rocks were not bruising my toes. It was much easier to hop on rocks as I traversed down the loose trail. The annoying problem of pebbles creeping into my shoes did not happen at all this morning.
It was a very peaceful 2:19 run. I finished off the run by raiding a local fig tree in the parking lot behind a real estate office. By the looks of all dropped figs on the pavement, the birds and ants were the only eating the sweet fruit.

Posted by: | CommentsTo me, it’s a no brainer to take water on every run over an hour. I always weigh myself before and after a run to see if I am maintaining proper hydration. Sometimes I drop as much as 5 pounds on a run. Many people mistake this for burning fat. Don’t we all wish that!
I usually consume 1 liter per hour when the weather is moderate. On hot days it’s double. I have been using the Nathan dual 22 ounce bottle hydration fanny pack. It usually will get me in between water stops.
Water is always more important than fuel on runs. Given a choice, I will bring water over food. I can run 8 hours without food. If I tried running 8 hours without water, I would collapse from dehydration.
